The data we process

The data you enter to order: name, email, phone, delivery and billing addresses, company name and VAT number where applicable, engraving text, message and — if the item is intended for a funeral — the name of the deceased and the date of the ceremony. Also the content of the order and the payment status (never your card details).

Why, and on what basis

Processing, delivering and invoicing your order, and answering your questions: performance of the contract (GDPR, Art. 6(1)(b)).

Keeping our accounts and retaining invoices: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).

Keeping proof that the terms were accepted and securing the shop: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

We do not use your data for advertising: no newsletter, no reminders, no profiling, no advertising pixels.

Who has access

The A&G Funeral team handling your order; the workshop that makes or ships the item (only what is needed: delivery address, engraving text); the carrier; our payment service provider; our accountant.

Our technical processors, bound by contract: shop hosting (Vercel), database (Neon), email (Microsoft 365). Where data is processed outside the European Union, the transfer is covered by the safeguards provided by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision).

We never sell or rent your data.

How long

Order and billing data is kept for seven years, as Belgian accounting law requires, then deleted. The basket and the order you are filling in stay only in your browser and can be cleared at any time.

Cookies and local storage

The shop uses no analytics or advertising cookies. It only keeps, in your browser, the content of your basket and the order you are filling in: strictly necessary for the service you request. Fonts are hosted by the shop itself: no data is sent to an external font service.

Your rights

You may request access to your data, its correction or erasure, restriction of processing, object to it, or receive a copy in a common format. Write to us; we reply within one month.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels (dataprotectionauthority.be).
